Join Collective Being for free monthly classes that will include body-based mindfulness, movement, somatic practices and pyscho-education to support stress release, nervous–system regulation, rest and connection.  

Each month will feature a different theme that responds to common symptoms of stress, overwhelm and burnout. You are welcome to join us for one or all classes. Classes are welcoming of all bodies and mobility - no prior movement or meditation experience is necessary. All practices facilitated by Collective Being are trauma-informed, accessible and mental health aware.

18 May 2025: Connecting with nature 
15 June 2025: Balance and stability
20 July 2025: Tension release  
17 August 2025: Sleep support practices 
14 September 2025: Grounding practices 
19 October 2025: Breath practices 
16 November 2025: Lower body release 
 
What should I expect from this class?
  • Green Monday studios is on Grattan St, near the corner of Lygon St and Grattan St in Carlton. The room we will be using for these classes are up two or three flights of stairs. 
  • Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your Collective Being facilitator and invited to choose a mat. There may be a brief opportunity to connect with the other participants attending the session, but there is no obligation to speak with others if you prefer not to. Throughout the class, you will be invited to share in gentle somatic movement practices which are designed to release muscular tension, increase blood flow, and encourage relaxation.
  • You will be offered options to explore different tools and strategies for focusing, connecting with your breath, and/or tuning into the experience of your body.
  • Our facilitators will always encourage you to engage in our sessions in a way that feels appropriate and supportive for you. This may mean that you try everything we offer, only try some things, or explore your own variations instead.
  • All movement can be done wherever you are most comfortable, in whatever clothing you wish.
  • Green Monday will supply mats and other props. 
  • You may like to bring a water bottle and any other items that resource you to have during the class.  
What price is the session?

Sessions are free of charge however registration is required. 

Is there support available during or after the sessions if I need it?

Our facilitator will be in the space for about 10 minutes before and 10 minutes after the class, in case you'd like to check in with them directly.
