Description
Embrace Your Inner Storyteller!
“I thought the sessions were fun, interesting, sometimes challenging, and varied each week. I think overall my appreciation of the power of storytelling has increased and my confidence has also increased. Thanks Alyssa” - MT
Are you passionate about stories and want to master the art of telling them? Join our Oral Storytelling Course with experienced educator, U.K.-trained storyteller, President of the Australian Fairy Tale Society and host of The Heart of Storytelling podcast, Alyssa Curtayne.
Ideal for teachers, parents, cafe owners, hairdressers, bus drivers...anyone who wants to tell stories better.
Transform your tales into mesmerising performances or conversations! Storytelling is not reading or memorisation, but a deep connection within the body to the story, the audience, and the self. Using folk and fairy tales we will dive deep into story craft and build our repertoire of skills and stories so you can tell your tales with confidence and style.
“I am very grateful to Alyssa for her generosity in crafting 'Embracing your Inner Storyteller'. She distills her experience and knowledge into an immersive experience that took us from thinking deeply about story to telling a story in a safe place. She brings her all into helping us tap into the teller we are and would like to be. I walked away from this course with some valuable insights and some beautiful connections to the storytelling community. I would highly recommend this course if you have the opportunity.” ~S.B.
“I greatly enjoyed Alyssa Curtayne's Embrace your Inner Storyteller workshop. This intensive workshop was run over two days in October 2026. It was jam-packed with a huge range of fun activities explore voice, stage presence, gesture, plus how to begin and end storytelling performances. The space Alyssa created was warm and nourishing. Workshop participants felt held and seen. Alyssa herself is an incredibly experienced and well-connected storyteller. We were all the much richer for her guidance.
I would not hesitate to recommend this workshop to anyone interested in starting their storytelling journey, or to experienced tellers that are keen to extend their skills.” ~ CDV
