Embroidery Workshop: Thread Drawing

Discover how to use your basic home sewing machine to create your very own thread drawings!

Your friendly teacher, Juliet will carefully guide you through every step of this fun and creative technique through demonstrations, tuition and practical support.

Select your chosen design from provided images and resources or bring your own ideas if you prefer.

You will learn the basics of freemotion embroidery including how to prepare your machine to free sew, how to transfer your designs to fabric, draw with the machine and add details and embellishments to your designs with threads and fabrics.

There will be plenty of opportunity for practice, trouble shooting, skill building and experimentation. Plus you can take home your own embroidered textile artwork, as well as some newfound skills! What you'll get

No prior knowledge or skills required. Suitable for complete beginners

Bring your own sewing machine if you have one. You will need an embroidery/darning foot. Let Juliet know in advance if you need to borrow a machine or would like more info on the foot.
