🧠 EMDR Training Overview
Total Duration: 50 hours
20 hours of lecture (in-class learning)
20 hours of experiential practice (real clinical scenarios, not role-plays)
10 hours of group consultancy (case support and supervision)

Included: Five 2-hour sessions (10 hours total)
Optional: Additional individual consultation available at your own cost

🧑⚕️ Eligibility
Mental health professionals with a degree and 2 years of clinical experience
Includes:
Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Mental Health Nurses, OTs, GPs (with psych training)
Registered Mental Health Social Workers
ACA Level 3/4 Counsellors, PACFA Clinical Members
ANZACATA Creative Arts Therapists (Masters, AthR)
Interns/Students with 2 years’ experience (via EMDRAA Exceptional Circumstances form)
💼 Practice After Training
You can begin practicing EMDR after completing the training
Accreditation is optional and can be pursued later

Full Course (50 hours): $2400
Early Bird: $2200
Refresher Course: $500
Optional group consultancy: $60/hour
Completion (if Part 1 done elsewhere): $1400 (includes Days 2–5, practicum, and consultancy)

🔄 Part 2 Course (for those who completed Part 1 elsewhere)
We no longer offer a standalone Part 2 course. However:
If you completed Part 1 within the last 2 years, you may join the program starting Day 2 to complete your training requirements.
If it has been over 2 years, you are welcome to join the full program at the Part 2 rate, in recognition of your previous investment in EMDR training.

Discount rate for Part 2: If you have completed a Part 1 EMDRAA Accredit Training Program, you are invited to join our training at a discounted rate to finish your hours. EMDRAA requires that you will have completed Part 1 in the last 2 years: if your completion date was earlier than 2 years ago, we will allow you to attend the full program at the Part 2 rate (upon evidence that you did pay for a Part 1 previously) but you must attend all workshops and consultation sessions.
EMDR therapy training requires advanced practice skills. Experience in assessment and treatment of mental health difficulties is essential as it provides the foundational understanding of clinical presentations, case formulation and treatment planning. Minimum requirements or registration with AHPRA, or evidence of a 4 year degree in mental health, 2 years clinical experience and membership of your professional organisation.
