Emergency Medicine ECHO 2026

This FREE ECHO program brings together healthcare professionals working in emergency care settings across South Australia to create a community of practice for shared learning, collaboration, and professional support.

The program consists of five sessions, delivered monthly on Mondays from 7:00 – 8:15pm via Zoom:

• Meeting 1 (August 24): Endocrine Emergencies

• Meeting 2 (September 21): Agitated Patient with Dementia

• Meeting 3 (October 19): Paediatric Sepsis Update

• Meeting 4 (November 9): Tachyarrhythmias

• Meeting 5 (December 1): First-Week Baby: Concerns & Illnesses

Each online session provides an opportunity for participants to learn best-practice emergency medicine care from a panel of expert clinicians, and to engage in debriefing discussions of real cases.

Case Submissions Welcome
Clinicians and teams are invited to submit cases for clinical debriefing. These discussions are designed to promote learning, encourage reflection, and identify opportunities to improve care processes, enhance patient experiences, and reduce the risk of future adverse outcomes.

Submitted for RACGP and ACRRM CPD approval.

SAPMEA has received Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing funding and the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) support for participation in the Emergency Medicine Education and Training activity under the 'Specialist Training Program'.
