You're invited to join the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing at our annual Emergency Preparedness and Engagement Forum.

Who’s invited?

The forum is open to anyone in the social services sector interested in being more prepared for emergencies. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • In-home and community-based services
  • Residential and home-based care services
  • Disability services
  • Local government
  • Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs)
  • Victorian Government departments.

Topics

The forum will cover:

  • Seasonal weather outlook and preparedness
  • Social services sector emergency management policy update
  • Extreme heat, heatwaves and thunderstorm asthma health campaigns
  • A case study in emergency preparedness.
