SOLD OUT! Emerge: Half Day Spring Retreat
Description
Spring marks a natural reset; a season of growth, expansion and new beginnings.
A time to reflect, realign and create space for what’s next.
Held on the tranquil grounds of Banyula Zen in Doonan, 'Emerge’ is a unique half day retreat that weaves together Gentle Yoga, Meditative Art, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra to foster a sense of coming home to yourself.
The surrounding rolling green hills and natural backdrop invite a space for you to refuel and reconnect to your grounded vitality.
Guided by Christine McDaniel and talented visual artist, David Hardy, this immersive experience is an opportunity to release the heaviness of winter and step into a new season with lightness, clarity and intention. Return to life with fresh eyes and a renewed sense of self.
What You'll Receive:
🌿 Gentle Mindful Movement to reawaken the body and restore flow.
🌿 Meditative Art to connect body, mind and soul in a creative way and support self discovery. This is not about having artistic skill, but finding meaning and connection in your life. Our focus will be on the process and not the final product to help you formulate new perceptions and engage in open hearted-conversation.
🌿 Yin Yoga to let go of physical tension and welcome space to be created within. The slow pace and held time in each pose will allow for mindfulness of the body, mind and heart to be observed and integrated.

About Your Hosts:
Christine McDaniel is a yoga teacher with over 16 years of teaching experience. She has taught extensively across the United States, Asia and Australia. Her classes are informative and considered, inviting you to return back home to yourself. With her sincere and gentle presence, she aims to provide students with the ability to sense overlooked subtleties to turn inwards, practice deep listening and honour messages the body gives. As a result, students can recognise and honour the edge where they feel mentally and physically challenged, while still finding balance and ease. Christine has led numerous events, workshops, retreats and Yin Yoga Teacher Training.
David Hardy is a Queensland-based visual artist, muralist and yoga teacher. Drawing on over 25 years of experience as a commercial signwriter and graphic designer, David utilises the natural flaws of raw timber grain as organic under-layers for his highly detailed portraits, landscapes, and native Australian wildlife. Operating out of his Sunshine Coast studio, he seamlessly blends his technical background with fine art to create large-scale street art and public murals across Queensland. His public installations feature both vivid full-colour work and monochromatic timber designs, and his distinct mastery of realistic wildlife representation earned him several selections as a finalist for the prestigious Holmes Art Prize.
