Emma Cutting - Putting Heart into Street Gardening
Event description
Join Emma Cutting for an afternoon of heart gardening talk. In this session Emma will share her experience in helping to create more than 50 street gardens for biodiversity in Melbourne.
Hear about her refreshing, practical and informative insights into the highs and lows of planting nature strips and wildlife corridors on both private and public land, working with local Councils, rallying community groups, making sense of nature strip guidelines and so much more.
In particular, Emma will share stories of The Melbourne Pollinator Corridor (MPC), an Australian-first initiative which will be, when completed, an 8km-long, ecology-centred, community-driven wildlife corridor for our native pollinating insects.
If you are thinking about or in the process of transforming your nature strip or garden into a wildlife friendly place then this session is for you!
Afternoon tea will be provided.
