Emotionally Focussed Therapy: Regulating emotion with an attachment lens. The journey and joys...
Event description
Graeme Clarke is a Clinical Psychologist, who has been in private clinical practice since 1988. Over time he found he particularly enjoyed couples’ work and undertook training in Interpersonal therapy and the Gottman based couples model. At the 2010 NZCCP ‘Emotion Laid Bare' conference he became intrigued with Les Greenberg’s work with emotions, and in 2014 Graeme began formal training in the attachment-based Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) model.
Graeme is now a fully trained EFT couples’ therapist and has worked with over 2000 couples.
He is a passionate advocate of the ‘attachment frame.’
Graeme will share his experience of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and how this model has added depth and clarity to his work, along with key aspects that make a difference with individuals and couples. This will include facilitating the emotional regulation process, the science of attachment-based models, and the growing evidence for the efficacy of EFT.
