Have your say in the National Strategy for Volunteering's first Action Plan!

Do you work for a company, business, or organisation that has an employee volunteering program? Are you responsible for volunteering or corporate social responsibility in your workplace? Do you engage corporate volunteers in your organisation? Come along to our workshop to discuss the role of employee volunteering (also known as corporate volunteering) in the implementation of the National Strategy for Volunteering 2023 - 2033.

What is this workshop about?
The National Strategy for Volunteering recognises the immense value and untapped potential of employee volunteering to the Australian community. We are currently in the process of developing the first three-year action plan and we want to hear from those involved in employee volunteering about how we can mobilise corporate Australia to help achieve the National Strategy's vision and strategic objectives.

What will I get out of the workshop?
By participating in this workshop you will directly shape the future of volunteering in Australia by ensuring the voice of companies and businesses is represented. You will also have the opportunity to learn from those doing great things in employee volunteering that you can implement in your own organisations and programs.

During the workshop we will present a summary of the co-design process so far and get your feedback on what you would like to see in the first action plan.

Who is the workshop for?
Not sure if this workshop is for you? This workshop is designed for anyone with an interest or involvement in employee volunteering, which many people know as corporate volunteering. We use the term 'employee volunteering' because we recognise that people working for not-for-profits and government departments also volunteer through their workplace! This workshop is not just for CSR Managers, it's also for volunteer involving organisations that work with corporate volunteers, organisations that enable employee volunteering, and those that participate in employee volunteering.

What do you mean by 'employee volunteering'?
Employee volunteering is often called corporate volunteering, but the terms are interchangeable. It takes place when employees are empowered or enabled by their workplace to contribute time, skill, or effort to a volunteer involving organisation or cause. We use the term employee volunteering rather than corporate volunteering because we recognise that people working for not-for-profits and government departments also volunteer through their workplace!
