About the trainer

Tamsin Lawrence
Associate Director
Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors (ABLA)

Tamsin is a highly credentialed employment lawyer acting for a broad range of employers across both the public and private sector. She performs a mix of litigious and advisory work in workplace relations and is a regular author and presenter on a range of bargaining, employment, discrimination and work health and safety related topics.

Prior to joining ABLA, Tamsin was Deputy Director of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Workplace Relations team where she represented the business community on matters of workplace relations law and policy before the Senate Education and Employment Committee, on the Council of Industrial Legislation, on the Attorney General’s Workplace Relations Working Groups, before the Fair Work Commission in relation to matters of industry importance and in her role as employer advocate during the Annual Minimum Wage Review. She was also intimately involved in responding on behalf of employers to the National Inquiry into Sexual Harassment in Australia Workplaces, and lead the Chambers response to the introduction of the Respect at Work Act including the new prohibition on sex-based harassment in the workplace and role as an associate employer representative member on the newly formed Federal Government Respect@Work Council. Tamsin also previously served as an advisor to the Federal Minister for Small and Family Business, Deregulation and the Workplace on workplace policy and legislation.

Given her previous experience, Tamsin takes a keen interest in and is often at the forefront of IR Changes, including often proving feedback and advice to Government and employer groups on the implications of reforms.

What's included in the price?

Course training booklet will be delivered via post.  Please provide the address when booking, and please provide your home address if working from home and would like it sent there. No soft copies of the materials will be provided.

This course is open to all organisations excluding other legal service providers and consultants.

What's the refund policy?

Participants will receive a full refund if they cancel at least seven (7) business days prior to the scheduled event. However, if participants cancel less than seven (7) business days before the event, no refund will be made. The place can be transferred to another member of the paid organisation. No-shows or cancellations after 7 days will receive the course training material and supporting documents. If there are insufficient participants, we reserve the right to cancel the event and participants will be transferred to another module of equal value or receive a full refund at their election. We will give three business days’ notice of any such cancellation.
