Event description

Are you a Support Coordinator looking to stay ahead of upcoming NDIS changes and maximise support for your clients? Join us for an engaging and practical session designed to provide actionable insights to help you navigate new funding structures, service collaboration, and advocacy strategies.

What to Expect:

Hear from Paul Madden AM:

As he shares his firsthand experiences as a parent of a child with disability. Discover the pivotal role families play in seeking and managing supports, the challenges they often face, and how community involvement can make a meaningful difference in providing holistic care and understanding.

Bridging the Funding Gap:

Explore alternative funding options, including grants, community supports, and advocacy strategies. Learn how to work with providers to find cost-effective solutions and hear real-life examples of successfully navigating funding shortfalls.

Balancing Choice and Control with Duty of Care – through a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) lens

How can providers uphold their duty of care while respecting participant choice, particularly when risks are involved? This discussion will be approached through a PBS lens and will discuss what PBS is and how a human rights approach can help us support people’s autonomy while navigating safety concerns or personal biases. We will do this in the context of ethical dilemmas using real-world situations. We hope this discussion will get people thinking and encourage you to continue the conversations on this topic.

Networking & Q&A:

Engage with service providers and industry experts, ask questions, and build valuable connections in a collaborative environment.

Don’t forget the Espresso Martini Masterclass:

While you are networking, enjoy a hands-on experience from Chef Peter (from our Transition to Work program) as he teaches you how to create the perfect Espresso Martini, while discussing the importance of practical skill-building and expert-led training in our Transition to Work and Step Up Courses.

This event is free to attend, but spaces are limited.
