Empowered Flowers Farm Tour
Event description
Join us for a tour of Empowered Flowers Farm in Canby, OR.
Empowered Flowers was founded by Joelene Jebbia and Adrianna Moreno in 2014. They are a queer, multiracial pair of hardworking first-generation farmers who are passionate about growing the culinary staples you need as well as a colorful array of the heirlooms we all love. Diversity is a key component of their farming mission. They cultivate over 70 varieties of different crops, including vegetables, herbs, and seeds for a well rounded four-season diet. You can find Empowered Flowers Farm at People’s Co-op Farmers Market and Woodstock Farmers Market.
On the tour we will walk the fields, hear about their journey as farmers, and discuss growing crops for seed.
