    What: Empowered Parenting Program (EPP) 4-Week Course.

    When: 8:45am – 9:45am, Every Tuesday Morning From 17 October – 7 November 2023 (Term 4).

    Where: Junior School Library – Canterbury College.
    - Parking via Junior School Gate, High Road, Waterford.

    Who: For ALL Junior School Parents & Carers From ELC – Year 6.
    - Maximum 20 places available so please register ASAP.

    Hosts/s: Canterbury’s Care Central Counsellors Jessica Young, Skye Brand & Emma Powell.

    Cost: FREE!

    Are you looking to strengthen your relationship with your children, while gaining the skills to manage the challenges of parenthood with confidence?

    Our Care Central Counsellors Jessica Young, Skye Brand and Emma Powell will be running a comprehensive 4-week Empowered Parenting Program (EPP) for our Junior School parents and carers.

    In this transformative course, they will guide you through a journey of positive and practical parenting strategies, designed to create meaningful connections with your children.

    They will also equip you with the tools to manage misbehaviour effectively.

    Their goal is to empower you to navigate the complexities of parenthood with grace, knowledge and resilience.

    In each week, we will focus on a different topic as outlined below:

    Week 1: Building Strong Foundations | 8:45am – 9:45am, Tuesday 17 October 2023.

    • Understand the importance of a nurturing environment.
    • Learn effective communication techniques.
    • Establish clear family values and expectations.

    Week 2: Managing Misbehaviour With Compassion | 8:45am – 9:45am, Tuesday 24 October 2023.

    • Discover positive discipline methods.
    • Identify the root causes of misbehaviour.
    • Develop strategies to address challenging behaviours.

    Week 3: Fostering Meaningful Relationships | 8:45am – 9:45am, Tuesday 31 October 2023.

    • Strengthen the parent-child bond.
    • Encourage open and empathetic conversations.
    • Cultivate trust and understanding.

    Week 4: Empowering Parenting In Action | 8:45am – 9:45am, Tuesday 7 November 2023.

    • Put your newfound knowledge into practice.
    • Address real-life parenting scenarios.
    • Build confidence in your parenting skills.
