Welcome to the Square Pegs Dyslexia Empowerment Camp!
Join us for a fun, engaging and empowering experience at Spring Bay Eco Resort. This camp supports young people with dyslexia and their parent or caregiver through community building, innovative workshops and engaging activities.
Designed as a shared experience for a child and one parent or caregiver, the camp is a fantastic opportunity to prepare for the transition to high school in 2027. Participants will build confidence, develop practical skills, and make meaningful connections with others who understand their journey.
Program highlights:
Kids' Workshops: Entreprenuers and Innovators
Parent Workshop: Advocating for your child with dyslexia in Tasmania
Shared Activities: Surfing, Painting, and Weaving*

Connect with others who understand both the challenges and strengths that come with dyslexia. Discover new strategies, celebrate unique talents, and build lasting friendships.
All workshops are facilitated by experienced professional educators.
Eligibility:
Tasmanian students currently in Year 6.
Priority will be given to new participants, with previous participants offered places if spaces remain available.
Participants must be available to attend the full program from Saturday morning to Sunday morning.
Cost:
$60 per family (one child and one parent/caregiver). This includes accommodation in bell tents, main meals, and all activities.
Travel to and from Spring Bay Eco Resort is at your own expense.
