Empowerment Mentoring Program (EMP) - Opening Ceremony
Event description
WIT’s annual Empowerment Mentoring Program is a flagship mentoring program run in collaboration with a number of sponsor companies, for female university students who are studying technology relevant degrees.
To assist with the professional development of hard and soft skills in our participants, the 4 month long program includes a series of curated workshops and an opportunity for a student to be paired up with a company representative. This program is the perfect opportunity for you as employees to guide and inspire students emerging in the tech field, and advise them on how to potentially start a career at your company.
We are inviting 2-3 representatives from each company to participate. If you are interested in participating please register by EOD Thursday 15th May.
A brief summary of what will be expected from sponsor representatives:
- Mentors are expected to engage with their selected mentee for a total of 5 hours throughout the program, in addition to attending the Opening (5th June, 6-8pm) and Closing Ceremony (TBD).
- Each representative will mentor their matched student based on preferences from both mentors and mentees.
