Description

Join us for our upcoming business networking event, proudly sponsored by Waimakariri District Council and hosted by Enterprise North Canterbury (ENC) at the brand-new clubhouse at The Sterling, Kaiapoi.

With significant change underway in local government, this is an opportunity to hear directly from Council about what is happening, what is coming next, and what it could mean for your business.

Waimakariri continues to experience rapid growth, creating both opportunities and challenges for businesses, residents and the wider community. At the same time, councils across New Zealand are responding to a substantial programme of central government policy, legislative and regulatory reform.

These changes will influence how councils plan, fund and deliver services, and how they work with businesses and communities. This presentation will provide an overview of the key reforms currently underway, their implications for Waimakariri, and how Council is positioning itself to support the district's continued growth and prosperity.

We'll also be running one of our popular speed networking sessions. Participation is entirely optional, but those who take part often tell us it's one of the most valuable parts of the event. It's a fun, fast-paced way to make new connections and meet people you might never otherwise have the chance to talk to.

There will also be plenty of time for traditional networking, giving you the opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, meet new business owners, and expand your professional network.

This promises to be a valuable evening of insights, connections and conversation. Spaces are limited to two attendees per organisation, so secure your place early. Drinks and nibbles will be provided.
