• Is there a Minimum spend?

  Yes. Package pricing represents the minimum spend and is based on up to 20 guests. Smaller groups are very welcome; however, the minimum package price still applies.

   

  Additional guests can be accommodated at the applicable per-person rate, with larger groups available on request.

• I am a Vegetarian/Vegan do I have to handle meat?

  We completely understand that not everyone is comfortable handling animal products, if that's you - no worries! Just let your facilitator or chef know at the start of the session and we will find a task you are comfortable with.

• Can I leave early?

  We ask that all volunteers stay for the whole sessions, as our kitchen production is relying on your help. We do understand that sometimes things can be out of your control, if one or two people need to leave the session early, that is ok. Please just let us know as soon as you can.

• Can I Bring My Child?

  It's so lovely that people want to share this experience of doing meaningful work with their children, unfortunately, we are only able to accommodate volunteers over the age of 18 in these sessions.
  
  We do have a wonderful schools program though which run in the mornings during term time. If your child's school isn't already involved, we'd love for you to let them know we are ready to welcome them into the kitchen. They can email schools@fareshare.net.au

• Can we use the tv and run a presentation/end of year wrap up?

  Absolutely, reach out to the team about what equipment you need and what you are planning, and we can help you to put this together.

• Do we have to leave at 7pm?

  Sadly, we will need to wrap up the event with us at 7pm, but don't worry as we have some great local venues that can host your team after you finish with us. Reach out to the team and we can share these recommendations with you.

• Who is SecondBite?

  SecondBite is a charity that merged in 2024 with FareShare so we are now one organisation. We distribute products from our SecondBite warehouses as well as meals from our FareShare kitchens to those doing it tough.
