Endangered Species Seminar

Oxley Creek Catchment Association supported by Griffith University Eco Centre is hosting an ‘Endangered Species’ seminar. Facilitated by Brendan McIntyre, BCC Creek Catchment Officer, hear speakers on the challenges facing key endangered species including koala, platypus, powerful owl, greater glider, and Mary River cod.

• Dr Sean Fitzgibbon from the University of Queensland - 'Koala behavioural ecology and wildlife survival in urbanised landscapes'
• Andrew Dinwoodie from Birdlife Australia - ‘Charisma Counts: Using the "WOW" factor to engage and conserve endangered species and their habitat'.
• Matt Cecil from Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland - 'Importance of local glider populations and the challenges they face'
• Dr Tamielle Brunt from Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland - 'Protecting platypus in Queensland'
