Endo Advice to Government

The State Government has announced an Endometriosis inquiry to uncover women’s pain. The inquiry will explore treatment, diagnosis, clinics, support, improved education, awareness and the impact on employment for women impacted by endometriosis.

For years as a worker, boss, woman, mother and friend of many women I have listened to hundreds of hours of women who are effected by 'endo'  I thought I would take an hour or so and gather women in my local community together to engage in a short process to extract ideas, experience and information we could collectively give to the Parliament.

No longer will we suffer in silence.  I was told by a gynaecologist to "eat more cabbage" and have a rest from my four teenage children  - now that was decades ago - but not much seems to have changed - so we are the people we've been waiting for.

The process will include an opportunity for women to write their own submission collectively - let's do this together!
