Energy Revolution Roundtable: from fossil fuels to a smart, flexible grid
Event description
Innovation Central Adelaide’s Energy Revolution Roundtable: from fossil fuels to a smart, flexible grid
Join us for a dynamic roundtable hosted by Innovation Central Adelaide, focusing on the transformation of South Australia’s energy landscape.
As one of the world’s leaders in renewable energy, South Australia is rapidly shifting from centralised fossil fuel plants to renewable sources like wind and solar, which are distributed across a large geographic area.
This shift requires reimagining our grid infrastructure—building new transmission lines, expanding distribution networks, and integrating advanced technologies. A new, flexible, and renewable-powered environment will also require bi-directional grid capabilities and digital twin systems for managing energy flow, along with advanced ICT capabilities for cybersecurity and high power computing.
South Australia aims to achieve net 100% renewable electricity by 2027, supported by a growing fleet of big battery storage projects and innovative grid solutions. This roundtable offers a crucial platform to discuss these challenges and opportunities, with a focus on ensuring a stable, reliable, and modern energy future for the state.
Don’t miss this opportunity to connect, collaborate, and contribute to South Australia’s energy transition!
Proudly supported by Flinders University, Flinders Digital Health Research Centre, and Cisco.
There is no cost for attendance, you are our guest, and this roundtable is catered with light refreshments.
