Event description

Are you interested in solar power, battery storage and electric vehicles but feel like you have a thousand questions and don’t know where to start? Then this free information session is for you!

Rachel and Tom Brdanovic from Tandem Energy will present on topics including:

  • Is installing solar the right move for you?
  • Already have solar but thinking about batteries?
  • Tips and tricks for selecting a solar installer
  • the different electric vehicle models currently available in Australia
  • different types of charging technologies
  • Her real-world experience of owing an EV for 4 years

We will also be joined by Tim Kelly, Climate and Sustainability Coordinator from the Town of Gawler, who will present on their initiatives to save energy and reduce costs and emissions, including:

  • Public lighting (street lighting) improvement
  • Lighting upgrades and smart lighting upgrades in our buildings
  • Electricity procurement
  • Improvements in air conditioning and infrastructure controls
  • Challenges with older infrastructure
  • Advocacy for clear and consistent rules regarding renewable electricity and claims

A Q&A session will then follow.
