Strengthening Practice: Engaging Children Experiencing Family Violence
Description
With the upcoming release of the Children's Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) Framework, the RFVP is offering training for practitioners across the Eastern Metropolitan Region to strengthen their confidence and capability in engaging with children and young people experiencing family violence.
Delivered by the Statewide Children's Resource Program, this interactive three-hour session explores the unique ways children experience family violence and provides practical strategies and resources to support safe and meaningful conversations with children, where appropriate, and with caregivers about a child's experience.
The training is designed to enhance practitioners' skills and confidence while supporting implementation of the MARAM Framework, Information Sharing Schemes, and Child Wellbeing and Safety Framework.
These sessions are highly practical, with no PowerPoint presentations or role-play activities, instead ensuring participants leave with resources and approaches they can apply in their everyday practice.
