Partnering and Engaging with Young Consumers
Event description
So, you'd like to involve young consumers, carers, people with lived experience, family or community members in your work but aren't quite sure where to start?
This session is an introduction to some of the things to consider when thinking about when you want to engage and partner with young health consumers. Young people are an important group of patients and consumers who use our health services, but their voices and perspectives are not as sought as they could be.
We'll cover:
Why its important to seek the perspectives of young people
What do services and staff need to do differently to hear from young people
What do we mean when we say involvement and engagement?
Different ways of engaging
Engaging with young people from marginalised groups
What are some possible opportunities?
What support is available to help you?
Who is this session for?
