Event description

This webinar will support professionals to understand how long-term health conditions can impact on children and young people’s education.

Beth and Lisa from Enquire will be joined by Ally from the Teapot Trust, who provide art therapy to children and young people living with long-term health conditions across the UK to discuss children's rights, education and support for learning.

We will explore:

  • children’s rights to support at school in Scotland,

  • how long-term health conditions can impact on learning,

  • what professionals in and around schools can do to support children with long- term health conditions.

We will also be reflecting on Teapot Trust's 'Growing up with chronic illness' resource. Co-created by a group of young people with chronic conditions the resource shares their experiences in their own words and own way.

Who is it for?

This session is designed for professionals working with children and young people in Scotland, particularly those involved in education or supporting the delivery of education to children and young people with chronic health conditions.

How can I attend?

This event will be delivered online. Once registered, a link to join will be sent to your supplied email address approximately one week before the event.
