Taller de Son Jarocho

¡Ven a descubrir y disfrutar el Son Jarocho, una tradición musical originaria de Veracruz, México!

Todos los jueves nos reunimos en CCL para aprender, tocar, bailar y compartir en comunidad. No necesitas experiencia previa ni conocimientos de música o baile. Este taller está pensado para quienes quieren acercarse al Son Jarocho desde cero, así como para quienes ya tienen experiencia y quieren sumarse al fandango.

🎶 ¿Quieres tocar?

Puedes traer jarana, leona, guitarra o incluso ukelele, el violin, el pandero, arpa, quijada o cajon tambien son bienvenidos!

Aprenderemos ritmos, acompañamientos y elementos básicos del Son Jarocho para comenzar a tocar en conjunto.

💃 ¿Prefieres bailar?

Puedes elegir el taller de zapateado jarocho. Tendremos tarimas disponibles para aprender y practicar los pasos, el ritmo y la conexión entre el baile y la música.

Para quienes quieren aprender y participar tocando algun instrumento.

💃 Zapateado Jarocho

Para quienes quieren aprender y practicar el zapateado sobre la tarima.

Elige tu opción al hacer la reserva para que nuestros talleristas sepan cuántas personas recibirán en cada grupo.

Fandango comunitario: al terminar los talleres, músicos y bailadores nos reunimos para poner en práctica lo aprendido y disfrutar juntos del Son Jarocho.

Son Jarocho Workshop

Come and discover Son Jarocho, a traditional musical style originating from Veracruz, Mexico!

Every Thursday, we get together at CCL to learn, play, dance and connect as a community. No previous music or dance experience is required. This workshop is perfect for complete beginners, as well as those who already have some experience and would like to join the fandango.

🎶 Want to play?

Bring your jarana, leona, guitar or even a ukulele. Violins, panderos, harps, quijadas and cajones are also very welcome!

We’ll learn rhythms, accompaniment and the basic elements of Son Jarocho, with the goal of playing together as a group.

💃 Prefer to dance?

Choose the Zapateado Jarocho workshop. Tarimas will be available so you can learn and practise the footwork, rhythm and connection between dance and music.

For anyone who would like to learn and participate by playing an instrument.

💃 Zapateado Jarocho

For anyone who would like to learn and practise traditional zapateado on the tarima.

Please select your preferred option when booking so our facilitators know how many people to expect in each group.

Community Fandango: After the workshops, musicians and dancers come together to put what we’ve learned into practice and enjoy Son Jarocho together.
