Strategic thinker, global technology pioneer, digital media architect, inventor, public speaker and musician; these are a few ways to describe Finbar O’Hanlon. Finbar describes himself as a “Purveyor of Different”. He has spent the last 30 years living in different countries, trying to bring his inventions to the world, and, helping people and organizations see through a lens, one that reveals a different view on the problem, and one that empowers the execution of innovation. Finbar lives and breathes the future, more importantly, he creates technology today that empowers tomorrow…and tomorrow is now. As a musician and artist, Finbar has played, and recorded, with artists and bands ranging from Limp Bizkit to the Cure. He even has his own signature guitar.  His ideas have helped launch three publicly listed companies with over $40 million dollars in startup capital and he has been granted 13 patents in multiple different countries. These days Finbar travels the world helping companies see through a different lens so they can uncover unrealised value. 

How will an artificial intelligence LEGO startup play a leading role in the startups charging our economic recovery? 

Sarah Agboola is founder and CEO of mtime, a business dedicated to providing a support network for busy parents by matching them with trained and vetted family assistants. In addition to mtime, Sarah is a member of the Australia Post Stakeholder Council. Previously, Sarah was the 2017 Australia Sherpa for the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance, and was an honoree of SmartCompany's Smart 30 under 30.     

What role do young entrepreneurs play in steering a sustainable future economy?  

Kelly Wickham from California, arrived in Australia with a San Francisco fast paced know how, and still today, Kelly is a person who lives the philosophy of GSD!  His RMIT and Melbourne uni environmental science studies combined with some Swedish bioenergy technology helped him create new ventures within government.  During his 15 years experience working within government Kelly has facilitated a future work program for a government agency and in 2011; he initiated the Victorian Bioenergy Network, that with the support of a government colleague reached 600 members strong in just a few years (and is incorporated today); developed an alternative strategy to Carbon Neutrality and developed an Outreach program for operational sustainability for commercial and not-for-profit organisations.  Kelly is now responsible for facilitating bioenergy industry development and continues to unlock a renewable energy future.  

What role can the government play in fostering a sustainable development economic recovery? 

Ruchika Arora’s career spans companies like Deutsche Bank, Microsoft in their global a.i team and now EY in their innovation team in Sydney. A tech enthusiast, with a passion for innovation, she is a people and principle-centered leader. Ruchika is an expert in Data Analytics, Cloud/Data Transformation, BI, Data Warehousing, & Solution Architecture. Having led and supported high performance teams, delivered numerous analytics and transformation projects across finance & retail, she knows what transformation needs to look like. 

How might emerging technologies like a.i and Blockchain play a role in our economic recovery? 

This will be co-hosted and your MCs for the night will be Entrepreneurs&Co. Co-Founders; Phil Ore, Co-Founder of 25 eight Group, and Warwick 'Waz' Peel Regional Director APAC from IdeaScale. So, BYO beer, vino, whisky or sparkling water, there will be a Happy Hour too. 🍺🍷
