About Tom Szaky

Tom Szaky, called the 'Google of Garbage', is the founder & CEO of TerraCycle.

From his university dorm room in 2001, he founded TerraCycle, a company that recycles unrecyclable waste, and now operates in 21 countries. In 2019 at the World Economic Forum in Davos he launched 'Loop' a global circular shopping platform.

Tom has written four books, starred in his own reality tv series and he has received hundreds of awards for his efforts in entrepreneurism and sustainability.

'Entrepreneurs at Home, Drinking...' is a new series developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The series is intended to inspire and educate Australia’s emerging circular economy ecosystem by inviting industry leaders to share their story and perspective. This is part of Boomerang Lab’s work to continue to support startups and engage the whole Circular Economy community during this time of isolation.
