Spark Festival is Australia’s largest event connecting businesses, innovators and startups, to grow the digital economy. What makes Spark Festival unique is that it is created directly by the business and innovation community, for the business and innovation community. Every year, hundreds of people and organisations from across the ecosystem produce and host the events that become the Spark Festival program.
To celebrate Spark Festival you're invited to join Steve King, Accessibility and Product at Canva and Pete Horsley, the Founder of Remarkable Tech in a fireside chat as they talk about the launch of a new fellowship program for people with disability wanting to explore entrepreneurship and startup.

Meet Steve King! Steve has been working in the tech industry for over 20 years and has a passion for making a social impact using technology. Steve has been bringing together people with skills and creative ideas to solve crazy hard problems for companies like Canva, Atlassian and Yahoo!. Steve has used his experience to understand, write and speak on the patient experience in healthcare, accessibility, and inclusion and this led him to co-found a startup that uses technology to give people with disabilities greater independence.
Deeply curious about the way things and people work, Steve has a passion to connect people with needs and lived experience with problem solvers and continues to promote initiatives that can accomplish this. This includes being involved in events throughout the UK, Australia, Singapore, US and Germany for startups, peer mentoring or solving complex problems teaching people how to code, extend their skills, or improve their impact on others seeking out a more inclusive and impactful life.
