What happens when the next generation demands a seat at the table to challenge corporate environmental impact?
Join the Surf Coast Environment Group (SCEG) for the inspiring finale of our 2026 Environmental Film Series, centered on the theme of Environmental Activists and Action.
We are screening the acclaimed documentary Future Council (2024), paired with a special presentation by our community partners, Parents for Climate.
Discover how young people are confronting global leaders, learn how local families are driving climate action on the Surf Coast, and connect with fellow residents over a light supper.

The People Places of the Jan Juc Coast Action Group, by local filmmaker, Scotty McClimont, Juc Media and feature original music by a local composer, Callum Watson.
Future Council (2024) (77min)
Future Council follows a group of passionate, outspoken children from around the globe who form a "Future Council" to challenge executive boardrooms and global leaders on climate inaction. Powerful, humorous, and deeply moving, the film highlights the sharp clarity and relentless drive of youth advocating for systemic change and corporate responsibility.
Special Guest: Parents for Climate
Following the film, representatives from Parents for Climate will share how local families and citizens are taking action on the Surf Coast.
They will discuss their ongoing campaigns, practical strategies for empowering young people without climate anxiety, and how everyday residents can contribute to meaningful local climate policy and environmental protection.
