Event description

Join us for an engaging Water Think Tank session led by Dr Nicole Kowalczyk, representing the Maribyrnong River and Waterways Association (MRWA). This session will explore MRWA’s Position Statement on environmental flows in the Maribyrnong Catchment, focusing on critical issues and actionable solutions.

Key discussion points include:

  • What are environmental flows, and why are they important?
  • How are environmental flows currently managed in the Maribyrnong Catchment?
  • Where are the gaps, and what are MRWA’s recommendations to address these shortcomings?

Whether you’re a water management professional, community advocate, or someone passionate about protecting our waterways, this session will provide valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities for sustaining the health of the Maribyrnong River.

This event is proudly supported by Hume City Council.
