Event description

A hybrid (in person and online) workshop to help you craft strong and impactful submissions to government consultations on environmental matters. Whether it’s climate, biodiversity and regeneration, protection of important areas, invasive species, or other critical issues, your voice is essential in shaping policies that protect our planet.

This workshop comes at a pivotal moment, as the deadline looms for submissions on the new Biodiversity Act (18th Feb). So we will spend some time talking in detail about the act and key areas of concern.

(Yoursay: https://yoursay.sa.gov.au/draf...)

In this session, you will:

  • Hear why submissions are important and how they fit in to influencing government
  • Learn best practices for writing compelling and well-structured submissions.
  • Understand how to tailor your message to influence decision-makers effectively.
  • Gain insights into the consultation process and hear feedback from govt on what they like so you can make yours count
  • Hear CCSA's views on key concerns with the Biodiverstiy Bill and review our soon to be released guide
  • Discuss perspectives among participants

Presenters:

  • Kirsty Beven, CCSA CEO & Chair SA Nature Alliance
  • Michael Cornish, CCSA Vice president and ALCA Senior policy advisor. (Previous Senior Policy Advisor to Rebekkah Sharkie)
