Event description

Join Wangaratta Landcare & Sustainability and the Ovens Landcare Network for a webinar exploring the predicted impacts of climate change in North East Victoria and how we can address this through environmentally sustainable design.

Bronwyn Chapman from the Goulburn Murray Climate Alliance will introduce us to the impacts of climate change we are already observing in our area, and the predictions for the next 10-30 years. Lachie Gales of Ovens & King Builders will discuss how builders can advocate to their clients for more environmentally sustainable design, and local developer Dion Stephenson will speak about what land developers can consider and implement. Simon Francis an Environmentally Sustainable Development Officer from the City of Bendigo will explore the steps local government can take to see more climate suitable development in the face of climate change.

This project was funded by the Community Mini-grant Program, a part of Climate Ready Hume, a Victorian Government initiative, aiming to support positive climate change activities and action.
