Welcome to the 2nd episode of AMSA Talk - in conversation with Zhi Soon on a career in Public Service, Australia's democracy and Asian Australian representation. This is a special edition organised in collaboration with the Asian Australian Alliance (AAA).

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Zhi Soon is an Australian of Malaysian heritage. Born in Shah Alam, his mother is from Penang and Johor while his father is from Melaka. Zhi migrated with his family from Malaysia as a child, living first in Hurstville before settling in Revesby. From working as a diplomat for the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) in Afghanistan to his current role with the Australian Institute of Teaching and School Leadership, Zhi’s career has been focussed on public service.

In this session, both AMSA President Thomson Ch'ng and AAA National Convenor Erin Chew will sit down with Zhi Soon for a conversation on his career in Public Service, Australia's democracy and Asian Australian representation.
