Event description

This Mental Health March, UNSW ADA - Student Experience invites UNSW teaching staff to learn all about balancing supporting students and themselves on Wednesday 9 March, 9:30-10:30am!

Balancing means considering all aspects of a certain thing, which means improving your own knowledge and self before teaching and supporting others.

This event will:

  1. Elevate teaching staff’s awareness of mental health support for students
  2. Increase staff confidence in successfully, and appropriately, supporting students
  3. Improve students’ experiences by better equipping staff with requisite knowledge
  4. Improve staff members’ experiences and sustainability by providing clear processes, boundaries, and self-care options

Registrations for this event close before Wednesday 9 March.

Mental Health March is created by UNSW Health Promotions Unit and aims to encourage the UNSW community to engage in conversations surrounding the often challenging topics of mental health and wellbeing. The team offer workshops, resources and mental health services to all UNSW Students and Staff.

If you or someone you know needs some support with their mental health, you can contact the Psychology and Wellness team via Mental Health Connect.
