Equine Therapy – Have a Go Day

Come and enjoy a calm and welcoming day with horses!

This free event is for people of all abilities to learn about and try equine therapy. You’ll get to meet friendly horses, watch a real class, and even have a go at riding with support from trained staff.

About Eq Cetera Inc.
Eq Cetera Inc. is based in Darling Downs, WA. They offer:

Adaptive Horse Riding
Equine Assisted Learning
Hippotherapy

They are proud members of AHAI International and the Australian Pony Club. Their herd of 12 horses and ponies help people improve their physical and emotional wellbeing.

Why horses?
Spending time with horses can help with:

Muscle tone, balance, and coordination
Confidence and emotional wellbeing
Living in the moment and working together

Event Schedule
🕙 10:00am – 11:00am
Watch a regular Saturday class and enjoy a light morning tea.

🕚 11:00am – 1:00pm
Have a Go! Book a short session to be led on a horse in the arena.

Tickets

Have a Go Ticket – for people living with disability who want to ride
Includes:
- A 5–10 minute supported ride
- Use of mounting ramps
- Priority scheduling
- Staff support to match the right horse
  Please provide details about your needs when booking.
Observer Ticket – for carers, parents, support workers, and family members.
Includes:
- Access to observe the class and Have a Go sessions
- Morning tea
- A calm, inclusive environment to enjoy the day
Car Space Ticket – one per vehicle. Please let us know if you need extra space for loading/unloading.

Important Info

Have a Go sessions are 5–10 minutes long
Riders will be helped to mount using ramps, led around the arena, and safely dismount
Priority is given to people living with disability
Siblings may have a chance to ride if time allows, but this is not guaranteed
Please be honest and detailed when booking so staff can match you with the right horse
Weight limits apply for safety

Accessibility
The venue has wheelchair access, accessible toilets, and parking. Let us know if you need extra support.

Bookings are essential and will close once parking is full.
