Description

Lyn White is an internationally respected strategist and compassion advocate whose work has illuminated hidden forms of suffering and inspired systemic change around the world.  Through award-winning investigations, strategic campaigns and thought leadership, she has demonstrated the power of compassion to drive meaningful social change.

A former police officer, Lyn transferred her investigative expertise to her work with Animals Australia, the country's leading animal protection organisation. Her undercover investigations across four continents exposed previously unseen practices, sparked widespread public debate and contributed to significant reforms.

For her outstanding contributions, Lyn was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) and has twice been named a state finalist for Australian of the Year.

A trusted public voice on complex and confronting issues, Lyn has featured twice on ABC's Australian Story and has been interviewed across Australia's leading current affairs programs, including 60 Minutes and Four Corners. She has designed and led high-impact national campaigns that have shifted public awareness, challenged entrenched industries and demonstrated how informed individuals can create systemic change.

In recent years, while continuing her work with Animals Australia, Lyn founded Growing Kindness, an initiative dedicated to fostering more compassionate and life-affirming systems. As Global Director, she has pioneered a range of groundbreaking projects exploring the interconnectedness of harm, the impacts of moral injury, and the transformative potential of compassion in both personal and societal change.

Despite witnessing more human and animal suffering than most, Lyn holds an unshakable belief in human potential. Guided by the conviction that compassion is revelatory and one of humanity's most powerful evolutionary forces, her life is dedicated to nurturing the generational shifts in thinking needed to build a kinder, wiser world for all beings.

Join us to hear Lyn in conversation with Petrina Barson, and meet others for whom compassion is a burning concern.
