The Women for Election Australia online Masterclass Series is a highly practical non-partisan program that provides women with the key knowledge on key topics relating to how to campaign at all levels of government.

We have all been involved in fundraising at one stage in our lives however have you ever fundraised for yourself in an election campaign? 

Join our expert, Grace Borsellino, who will guide you through different fundraising techniques so that you gain an understanding of your fundraising obligations. This will involve getting into discussions involving the nitty gritty of what you can and cannot do. Grace will share key tips and opportunities for you to ask for donations through developing unique fundraising events.
 
Grace Borsellino is a Lecturer and Course Convenor in Corporate Law and Governance at Western Sydney University. Grace is an expert at providing pathways and support for women entering business, finance, and government. She is the Chair of the Equity and Diversity Working Party in the School of Law and an invited international speaker to universities in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Malaysia delivering conference speeches in areas of FinTech, the Digital Economy, Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies, Corporate Law and Corporate Culture. She has engaged with new tech start-ups and developed creative ideas on crowdfunding and fundraising for women-led initiatives.

Women support their communities in so many ways. From running school P&C’s and local sports competitions, to establishing businesses and community campaigns and co-ordinating drought and bushfire relief for neighbours. These leadership skills are highly transferable to elected Public Office, where your work can then extend to helping groups within, and beyond, your immediate community.

We need more women like you at the table where decisions are being made; at all levels of government.

This session will run for 90 minutes. You will need: a computer, access to reliable wifi and social media, a headset and a ‘get elected’ attitude.
