Erosion and Salinity Management Demonstration Field Day

Join West Hume Landcare and Murray LLS in conjunction with Salinity and Land management expert Andrew Wooldridge as we showcase erosion and salinity management demonstration sites.

Learn about catchment and land management challenges in the WHL region resulting in erosion and dryland salinity. Discover some management actions that you can take to reduce and rectify erosion and salinity as we visit several demonstration sites showcasing a range of activities.

Visit on-farm demonstration sites to see management works in action, including:

• Major earthworks to repair and protect an eroded gully
• A woodlot established in saline soils to protect soils, support biodiversity and generate income/self-sufficiency through firewood production
• Salinity tolerant pasture established on areas of significant waterlogging and salinity issues
