Workshop: reducing agricultural emissions 

The Ministry for the Environment is currently seeking consultation on the second Emissions Reduction Plan (ERP2). We have previously provided feedback on approaches to pricing agricultural emissions. This current consultation focuses on specific questions regarding farmer uptake of emissions reductions technology and industry approaches to reducing emissions.

To develop comprehensive feedback, we invite you to participate in our Member-only workshop. During this workshop we will:

• discuss the three main barriers or challengers to farmer uptake of emissions-reduction technology
• explore how the Government can better support farm and industry led actions
• prioritise support for the development of mitigation tools and technologies across the primary sector
• identify ways to encourage farmer uptake of emissions reduction tools
• consider key factors for developing a fair and equitable pricing system.
