ESG and Carbon SaaS Platforms: How to Find and Implement the Right Solution for your Business
Event description
Around Australia - and the world - sustainability professionals are being bombarded. And no, we don't mean by Donald and Elon - we're talking about regulators putting in place mandatory climate reporting requirements and finance/compliance/risk teams cascading those requirements down through their businesses. And this is a good thing!
What is less helpful, perhaps, is the increasingly overwhelming array of providers that are promising to solve this problem for us all. In recent years, the number of ESG and carbon measurement and reporting platforms has grown from a small handful to an almost uncountable number, each new one promising more functionality and clever tech than the last. The rate of change and growth has only increased with the arrival of AI-based tools, and their ability to take the pain out of gathering, processing and presenting data.
So now, on top of our regular job demands, we're expected to be technology experts: able to advise our employers on what platform to choose, and to play a central role in bringing that support into the business. Are we really the right people to do that? And, if so, where on earth should we start?
The good news is that we're not the first people to be put in this position. Throughout recent history, new business regulations have appeared, and software solutions have popped up to meet them. And each time, a new set of - often inexperienced - professionals have been asked to deal with the results.
During this webinar, you'll hear from software procurement expert, Michael McDonald, who will take attendees through the basics of specifying, procuring, onboarding and managing a software provider. He'll bring practical insights from his decades of experience across a range of sectors, problems and solutions. On the day, he'll be joined by Chris Nunn, General Manager of ESG at Scape Australia, who will offer reflections on Scape's experience in securing a platform.
Tickets are available for the single event ($50 + booking fee). Following this event, a series of "deep dive" webinars, covering 1. developing an ESG software specification 2. managing software procurement 3. onboarding a provider and 4. vendor management. Watch this space!
