    Event description

We are delighted to return to Esperance to invite you to join us for a free afternoon of leadership learnings, personal development and networking.

As part of the Leading Australian Resilient Communities (LARC) Pilot Program, Leadership WA is returning to Esperance to reconnect with our LARC graduates and engage with the wider community, as we continue the local leadership conversation. There will also be an opportunity to participate in activities to further strengthen your leadership capacity and knowledge at an individual level.

The afternoon will commence with a light lunch, followed by a session on how our LARC graduates have taken their learnings back to the community, including outcomes and shared learnings from their community impact projects.

This will be followed by a personal development session led by one of our Leadership WA Leadership Development Managers, on leading self. This will include exploring what success and wellbeing looks like to you personally and how making small changes and developing Tiny Habits ® can make a huge difference to your life.

We then look forward to a casual catch-up, where our attendees and guests can connect with each other over refreshments.

The session is free, with registrations essential by Tuesday 18 June, please.

    This event is open to:

    • Our LARC Program graduates
    • All members of the Esperance and surrounding community (leadership experience is not a requirement)

Investment: Your time and contribution. There is no fee to attend.

    By joining us, you will:

    • Share and discover the impact of the LARC Program in your local region.
    • Undertake a personal development session* and discover new insights into self-management and self-improvement.
    • Connect with like-minded locals and extend your networks and friendships.

What is Leading Australian Resilient Communities (LARC)

In 2023, Leadership WA visited the Goldfields-Esperance region as part of the national Leading Australian Resilient Communities Pilor Program. Funded by the Federal Government and in collaboration with The Australian Rural Leadership Foundation and the Regional Institute Australia, LARC was aimed at building regional leadership capability. The Program in each region was developed and delivered in collaboration with local community representatives in each region.

It was acknowledged that building regional resilience isn’t just about the ability to bounce back from adversity – it’s about the ability to bounce forward and to build a future the community has identified. Leadership networks involving a diverse cross-section of communities.

During the Program, local leaders and advocates explored how individuals can work within their communities to build resilience and create change to benefit others.

Please RSVP by: Tuesday 18 June

Leadership WA reserves the right to postpone or cancel this event, should registrations come in significantly below hopes.
