Emergent Sound for Resonant Bodies: 014
Event description
Resonant Bodies an evolving community project rooted in collaboration and deep listening.
Each month we bring together a different ensemble of musicians to respond to an ecological or artistic prompt; creating a live, improvised, emergent soundscape.
Resonant Bodies seeks to remove barriers and make an inclusive , accessible and inviting third space for people to engage with and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of sound by engaging in nourishing and restorative deep listening. This could look like lying, sitting, drawing, sleeping, standing, witnessing, meditating or moving.
This Month, Artists George Worthy, Shannon May Powell, Pierce Morton and Abi Lee come together for the very first time to collectively inquire into a painting by artist and writer Amy Sillman. Tentatively finding their way, with you, through an ongoing hour long emergent immersive sound inquiry.
More information about Resonant Bodies, including accessibility support and past recordings can be found on the Resonant Bodies website.
