Event description

Ecstatic Dance is becoming a very popular term that is also expanding in it's own definition. It is commonly described as a moving meditation that allows dancers to openly express themselves freely. Typically there are a few etiquette pieces in place such as: keeping spoken conversation and screens off the dance floor, dance in barefoot with a sober state of being. Other than that... there are realms of possibility to explore within the collective spaces of the physical, mental and spiritual capacity of each dancer as their bodies move to beat, rhythm and melody.

This three hour workshop is designed to create awareness of the multitude of aspects that can really make one type of ecstatic dance totally different from another. As we discuss ideas and practice with movement, you will have opportunities to reflect and clarify how can you personally maximize the investment you're putting into your conscious dance practice.
