Calling all educators in Woollahra, Randwick, and Waverley Council areas! Join us for a year of learning, networking, and hands-on experiences as part of the Eastern Suburbs Sustainable Schools Network.

In 2025 we are pleased to offer:

  • Marine Life Rockpool Exploration - 17 March (complete)
  • Build a Frog Pond - Wednesday 18 June
  • Term 3 TBC - Wednesday 20 August
  • Term 4 TBC

Term 2 Creating habitat for frogs

Discover the frogs living in Sydney and the environments they call home.

Nadiah Roslan, from the Australian Museum, will introduce the FrogID Project, sharing fascinating facts about the frog species found in our local area and what kinds of habitats they need to thrive. Then Marika, a parent from Rose Bay Public School, will share the story of how the school built a frog pond and show us the Rose Bay Community Garden pond.

This practical session will include:

  • How to use the FrogID app to identify local frogs and find species living nearby.
  • How Rose Bay Public School built a small in-ground pond.
  • How the Community Garden converted an old bath tub to create a frog pond.
  • Suggested activities with your pond, online resources and risk considerations.
  • Other frog habitat features you can build.

Suitable for educators of all age students.

Meet at Rose Bay Community Garden. Please wear enclosed shoes and bring a rain jacket and/or, sunscreen and hat.

Please have the FrogID app on your phone.
