Tõll on vägimees – üks paljudest.
„Tõllu“ näidendis me Tõllu ennast ei näe.

Tõll is a giant – one of many. Every nation has someone who carries stones, sleeps in the ground, and crushes enemies in times of war. This once again proves that people want to believe in something unreal and wonderful; they like to think that another world exists in the shadow of the visible one: a mysterious one. In the past, this world was embodied by fairies and gods, little folk and mermaids; today, it is all kinds of comic book heroes, starting with Superman. When no one else can help, they will.
In the play "Tõll," we do not see Tõll himself. But we see how Tõll is born. How fairy tales and legends are born in general. How dreams are created that add hope and color to human life.
