Event description

About the Event:

Join our host Marc Russell for a Eucalypt Field ID Workshop on Saturday 5th April 2025 at 9am. Learn about our local native Eucalypt species and techniques to identify them.

Meeting at Maddock Park on Ewen Maddock Dam (via Connection Road, Mooloolah 4553), the morning will start with an outdoor theory session.  A map of where to meet will be emailed to all those who register. The talk will discuss his favourite native habitat trees and the importance of trees for ecosystem resilience. Marc has an incredible bank of knowledge on native plants - this talk is a must for anyone interested in Australian trees, flora or fauna.

We will then put our new knowledge into practice, by going for a walk amongst the surrounding bushland to identify species growing in their native habitat. It is an easy walk, suitable for most fitness levels.
