Eucalypt Forests of the Dorrigo Plateau
Event description
Come and join us at a Fernbrook property, for a morning walk through some unusual eucalypt forests on the Dorrigo plateau and learn how to identify common eucalypts of the area.
Address details and directions will be forwarded upon registration.
We will begin with an (at times steep) downhill walk on a well formed track of about one and a half hours, followed by learning some skills in eucalypt identification.
Refreshments and light lunch will be on offer.
A steep walk out of the site to finish, or car shuffle is available to return to the parked cars.
Bring: Hat, Sunscreen, Sturdy walking shoes and Water bottle.
Bring any samples you want ID'd. Remember that an accurate eucalypt ID needs bark type, leaves, fruit and if possible buds and juvenile leaves. and a note on where its from!
