If you’re in a position to give, we’d love you to make a small donation to our GiveOUT Day campaign — every dollar helps us keep building free, affirming spaces where our community can truly belong.
This interactive session is all about caring for yourself while you care for your community — exploring practical strategies to prevent burnout, maintain balance, and nurture your mental wellbeing in a connected, affirming space.
What to Expect:
Guided insights and activities with Jessie Goldie
Conversations on self-care, volunteering, and community connection
Meet the founders and committee members of Euphoria Social
Relaxed social atmosphere with grazing platters and refreshments included in Ticket.
In the spirit of GiveOUT Day, we invite attendees to make a small donation (if financially able) to support Euphoria Social’s GiveOUT Day campaign — helping us continue to provide free, inclusive, peer-led mental health and wellbeing programs across Victoria.
About the Workshop:
Sustaining Wellbeing in Purpose-Driven Workshop with Jessie Goldie (Q Psychology)
Volunteers are the heart of our community. Purpose-driven work can be deeply rewarding, but also uniquely demanding. This session explores how to recognise, manage, and prevent stress and burnout so you can sustain your wellbeing while supporting others. In this session, we’ll cover:
The unique pressures of purpose-driven, meaningful, work
What is stress, is it always harmful?
What is burnout and how to spot your early warning signs
Strategies for managing stress and preventing burnout, including:
Setting boundaries
Pro-active self-care
Every dollar given this GiveOUT Day fuels real change and will allow us to expand free, peer-led mental health workshops across Victoria — creating safe, affirming spaces for healing and connection and lays down the foundations for Australia’s first peer-led national movement dedicated to queer mental health, connection, and hope.
Together, we can remove barriers to inclusion, amplify underrepresented voices, and deliver free, life-affirming mental health support where it’s needed most.
What is GiveOUT Day?
GiveOUT Day is Australia's annual day of giving to LGBTQIA+ non-profit organisations and initiatives — and it’s happening on Thursday, 16 October.
Donations are now open, and with matched funding, your gift goes twice as far!* This year, we’re turning up the charm with Love Edition, helping you fall for a rainbow cause that speaks to your heart.
Please note: No door sales or late registrations will be available.
Who This Is For
This workshop is for LGBTQIAPN+ volunteers, community organisers, and anyone who gives their time, energy, or heart to supporting others — whether formally or informally.
It’s designed for:
Volunteers in LGBTQIA+ groups, events, or community projects
Peer supporters, advocates, and organisers
Anyone balancing activism, care work, or community involvement with everyday life
All levels of involvement are welcome — from those giving an hour a week to those leading larger teams or ongoing initiatives.
If you’ve ever found yourself stretched thin, juggling commitments, or wondering how to refill your own cup while caring for others, this space is for you.
All identities and experiences are welcome.
Whether you’re part of the LGBTQIAPN+ community or an ally supporting queer spaces, your presence matters. We all have a role in building sustainable, compassionate communities — and that begins with taking care of ourselves and each other.
