EV Volunteer Ambassador Induction session

Volunteer Ambassadors are the heartbeat of our communities.  Ambassadors are highly engaged, committed, and experienced volunteers already making an impact in their local community. You are passionate about improving outcomes for people, building communities and overcoming barriers to volunteer ensuring equity, inclusion, and accessibility.

At EV we are building our Ambassador Community to be able to share messages about volunteering and honouring the values of equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
Volunteering provides a safe and supported opportunity to learn new skills, gain meaningful work experience, learn workplace culture, build language skills, share knowledge and provide social connection within community.

The program aims to reduce barriers to volunteering by engaging volunteer ambassadors to be able to share information within their current networks, identify people that may benefit from volunteering and assist people with the initial connection to the EV volunteering program. We will take it from there.

The Volunteer Ambassador Role

This is a flexible role that requires a small commitment of 4 hours per month – this can be applied flexibility by:

• advocating for volunteering within your community and social networks promoting messages supplied by EV.
• Participating in events of your choosing hosted by EV to promote volunteer participation.
• Attending a meeting every 3 months in person or online to discuss new messaging and provide feedback on community responses to volunteering campaigns
• Promote volunteering on your social media accounts (desirable)
